Extending free childcare, fairer funding for schools, and delivering on our manifesto commitments

It has been a busy couple of months following my reappointment as a Minister within the Department for Education. I am working to deliver our manifesto pledge to extend the free childcare available for working parents of 3 & 4 year olds to 30 hours per week. We will also be bringing forward proposals on school funding, as it is deeply unfair that pupils across the country receive different amounts based on historic allocations rather than current needs. My responsibilities also include further education funding, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), child poverty and careers advice.
