Airports’ Commission final report

Earlier this month, the Airports Commission published its final report on Britain’s future aviation capacity, which recommended a new northwest runway at Heathrow Airport. Like many constituents, I set out my concerns about Gatwick’s proposed second runway during the consultation, which you can read here.
Ministers are now rightly giving careful consideration to the detail of the report, and I look forward to their response in due course. Separately, I am continuing to press the case for progress to address the concentration of aviation noise from Gatwick following the implementation of P-RNAV, which is still causing unacceptable disturbance for residents.
